Mark down this date. At 3:35 this morning, Joy delivered Walker Smith Martin at MRH. Walker was 7 lb, 13 oz and 21 inches long at birth and came out screaming. Joy did great and her labor lasted for several hours, part at home and the last three hours in the hospital. Everything worked out wonderfully. He seems entirely healthy and Joy is doing well. We are both working on no sleep for greater than 24 hours, so we are looking forward to going home. It seems that we will be required to stay in the hospital until tomorrow, as the hospital keeps all babies for 24 hours. Feel free to call or come by.
